Hi guys thank you for accepting the invitation to interview your band.
HMTV ASIA: How Are you guys?
Band: Fine , thanks.
HMTV ASIA: What's the name of your band and how did you come up with it?
Band: We're Alchemy. The name reflects the different personalities of each of the band members, and how we belong together.
HMTV ASIA: Whats the genre of your music?
Band: Basically rock, a mix of rock, powerpop, prog and electronic sounds. We like to call it 'world rock music'
HMTV ASIA: Cool, Who are the members and what instrument they play?
Band: Francesca Mantovani (vocals), Mauri Belluzzo (Guitars, Keyboards, Programming), Michael 'Kos' Kostka (Drums, lyrics) and a guest bass-player, Angelo Perini.
HMTV ASIA: What Can you tell me about your music?
Band: It's rock music free from rules. Our philosophy of not placing any sort of restriction on our approach to composition allows the music to be different from song to song, but with the same Dna.
HMTV ASIA: Who are your inspiration?
Band: We’re inspired by different artists and genres, but mostly by 1970’s and ‘80’s rock. Each of us has his own heroes, from Elvis to the latest rock stars, ranging from Bowie, Yes, Genesis, Saga, The Tubes, to Iron Maiden, AC/DC Whitesnake, but also Depeche Mode, electronic punk-rock, etc. That's why we call ourselves Alchemy.
HMTV ASIA: Who writes songs and Do you have a theme or topic on some of your songs?
Band: Mauri's the composer and Michael's the lyricist. We started out with a story-based concept for the album, but having written over 30 songs it was difficult to follow the same unbroken line.
HMTV ASIA: How has your music evolved since you guys first started?
Band: The evolution is daily, as we keep on writing songs just like we wrote the first, while incorporating all the new things which come about in our life.
HMTV ASIA: How long has it been since you guys started?
Band: We've been working together since 2005 as Alchemy, but we're long-time friends, and have had different experiences together in the music business.
HMTV ASIA: As a band what are your biggest challenges?
Band: The main challenge is making our music heard all over the world.
HMTV ASIA: Do you have any new albums working or just recenlty release?
Band: We've just released a new 5-song EP called 'The twilight zone' in collaboration with German label Anko music. It's our first large-scale release, and we're now working to promote it. The next step will be to find a major label and start working on a complete album.
HMTV ASIA: Where they get your album?
Band: Our EP is now available from digital platforms such as Musictrax, Napster, Amazon etc., from Anko Music website or simply from our official website,
HMTV ASIA: Whats the diffrence from this album from the past ones?
Band: We don’t have past albums as this is our first release... for now.
HMTV ASIA: Are you on tour or planning to go on tour?
Band: Well, that’s another thing we’re working on. We're looking for a management and/or booking agency to start performing our material live.
